keep in mind the all new Asus G46VW laptop is not yet available outside of the USA or by any resellers like xoticpc, mailibal, powernotebooks, or any other resellers that you might know of. From the information posted around the web the G46VW wont be sold by anyone other then best buy untill Q2 of 2013 from my understanding from an agreement made through the companys. There are a few websites that are to my knowledge buying the laptops from bestbuy and customizing them and reselling then, HIDEvolution being one of those but I havent looked into that.

[Speculations]
Currently there are a few things not yet known about the G46, two of them being screen resolution and the micro sata connection found on the mobo. From what I know as far as the screen, as it stands the 1366x768 screen that is currently being sold on the bestbuy version of the G46 is the only screen thats even possible to be put on there, there isnt even any aftermarket screens anyone can buy and replace them selves with a DIY job, this has to do with the screens AVS cable not fitting any other screens being sold so the only way anyone is going to get a better screen is if its sold by the vendor at least is what I know about it, I know alot of you people hate 768p screens, I own one my self on a lenovo ideapad y460 and I love it. I do know the different as I have an older alienware with a 1200p screen(1600x1200) and while it was a beautiful screen I could never game at the resolution. If I was contemplating getting this laptop i wouldnt let the screen resolution hold me back from getting it, it is afterall a gaming laptop not a workstation machine for tasks which a great screen is more productive to have.

The screen is definitely not a high quality screen, but for gaming it does nicely and having a laptop cost under 1000.00$ is one of the most importand things to me personally especially in a 14 inch laptop, there's no reason to be spending more then 1k on it, your going to be gaming with it not making money with it doing color intensive work with photoshop, lets buy it the way it was ment.

The micro sata slot located on the motherboard for a mSata from what I understand doesn't take a normal mSata its proprietary but I will update this section when I find out more about it.
